India and Afghanistan played their second match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, October 11. India won the match by eight wickets, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s record-breaking hundred and Jasprit Bumrah’s four-wicket haul. However, the match also witnessed a heartwarming gesture between India’s captain Virat Kohli and Afghanistan’s fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq.

Naveen-ul-Haq, who is only 23 years old, impressed with his pace and accuracy in the match. He bowled four overs and conceded only 21 runs, while also taking the wicket of Ishan Kishan. He also showed his aggression and passion on the field, as he had a verbal exchange with Shreyas Iyer after hitting him on the helmet with a bouncer.

However, after the match, Naveen-ul-Haq was seen sharing a friendly moment with Virat Kohli, who is one of his idols. The two players hugged each other and smiled, as Kohli congratulated Naveen-ul-Haq for his performance and encouraged him to keep working hard.
