How Ravindra Jadeja bamboozled Steve Smith with a peach of a delivery

India vs Australia: India is one win away from their greatest moment in the Cricket World Cup and will face Australia in the final on Sunday.

The hosts won all nine matches en route to reaching the knockout stage, all but losing to New Zealand in the semi-finals. It is difficult to find any form or analysis that points to their weakening on home soil, but they will need to maintain their composure under the most pressure to end their 12-year wait for a title on the world stage.

This will be the eighth time the Australians will be playing in the showpiece event, having won the trophy on five occasions, and it has been a brilliant response from Pat Cummins’ side after losing their first two matches of the tournament. They secured their place in the final with a thrilling win over South Africa.

Rohit Sharma: The pride and emotion of being a World Cup captain

However, if the story on Sunday night was Australia’s, something has gone very wrong for India. Rohit Sharma and his teammates have been on the offensive over the past six weeks, comfortably defeating the Australians in their opening group-stage match and have shown no signs of slowing down since then.

Virat Kohli has already scored 711 runs and broken Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most runs in the World Cup with one game remaining, and now has 50 ODI centuries to his name. Mohammed Shami is the top wicket-taker in the tournament despite playing only six matches.

Start time of India vs Australia is scheduled for an 8:30am GMT on Sunday November 19, 2023.

The match will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, which can hold 132,000 visitor.

India vs Australia Prediction:

india vs australia india playing 11

It may be 10 out of 10 wins for India so far in the World Cup, but it won’t mean anything unless they make it 11 on the biggest stage.

The pressure of opportunity is one of the biggest hurdles in India’s way, especially if things get tight. India’s dominance has been such that they have not been really significantly tested at any stage of the tournament

They always had at least four wickets in hand while chasing, while only New Zealand was able to get within 100 runs of the total scored by the Indian batting lineup.
